Recipients of the 10th Annual Award for Outstanding Research by Trainees have been named. The Outstanding Research by Trainees award encourages high quality research activity by Ochsner trainees and provides for regional dissemination of trainees’ research results. The award is also designed to promote recognition of Ochsner as a leader in clinical, translational, and health services research.

UQ-Ochsner medical students and Ochsner Health residents and fellows are eligible to apply for this award. The awards cover the cost of abstract submission and registration to attend and present at the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Southern Society for Clinical Investigation (SSCI), which is held in conjunction with the Southern Regional Meetings (SRM) of the American Federation for Medical Research. This meeting will be held in New Orleans on February 22-24, 2024. This year, SSCI selected the following “Outstanding Research by Trainees” award recipients for presentation of their research study at the annual conference:
