RELEASE DATE: February 4, 2021

Ochsner Academics recently named the recipients of the 7th Annual Award for Outstanding Research by Trainees. The Outstanding Research by Trainees award encourages high quality research activity by Ochsner trainees and provides for regional dissemination of trainees’ research results. The award is also designed to promote recognition of Ochsner as a leader in clinical, translational, and health services research.

This program provides up to five awards in each of three categories: medical students, residents, and fellows. The awards cover the cost of abstract submission and registration to attend and present at the 2021 Annual Meeting of the Southern Society for Clinical Investigation (SSCI), which is held in conjunction with the Southern Regional Meetings (SRM) of the American Federation for Medical Research.
