UQ Ochsner Clinical School Research Opportunities
Ochsner Clinical School provides research training opportunities through both formal and informal mechanisms. Students enrolled at the Ochsner Clinical School are eligible for UQ-sponsored, research-based programs leading to an MBBS Honours degree or to dual degrees - MBBS/MPhil (Master of Philosophy, equivalent to a Master of Science in the US) or MBBS/PhD (Doctor of Philosophy).
CURE - Collaborative Undergraduate Research Experience
The Ochsner-UNO Collaborative Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) engages undergraduate students with hands-on experience working alongside physicians and PhDs at medical research labs at Ochsner. Interns conduct work over a six week period in the summer and receive a stipend. In addition to working on specific research projects, interns attend medical student lectures and grand rounds, participate in professional development activities, and receive one-on-one mentoring.
Ochsner Academics Summer Internship for Students (OASIS)
OASIS provides formative experiences to undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career as a physician, physician assistant, or researcher in the biomedical sciences. OASIS is offered as a benefit to Ochsner employees for their children interested in applying to a medical or PA school.
