Ochsner Journal Summer Issue

Seven original research articles, one quality improvement paper, one contemporary review/update, and ten case reports/clinical observations serve as the principal elements of the summer edition of the Ochsner Journal.

Topics of the articles are diverse, ranging from alopecia areata to thromboprophylaxis, and the specialties represented are just as wide ranging: gastroenterology, neurology, cardiology, dermatology, sports medicine, and radiology.

Four COVID-19–related articles add to the expanding knowledge about the effects of the pathogen:

The featured contributor for the summer issue is Selim Krim, MD, the Medical Director of the Heart Transplant program, Fellowship Director of the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology program, and Director of the Advanced Heart Failure Research Section at Ochsner Health. Dr. Krim is a coauthor of two papers published in the summer issue: Rabbit Antithymocyte Globulin Induction in Heart Transplant Recipients at High Risk for Rejection and Suspected COVID-19–Induced Myopericarditis

The Ochsner Journal is published quarterly. To subscribe to the electronic table of contents and receive notification when new issues are published, click to the alerts page at the Journal website and enter your email address.
