Biospecimen & Core Research Laboratory Steering Committee (BSC)

The BSC acts as an internal regulatory board that meets quarterly to review ongoing, new, and upcoming projects within the BCRL. The BSC is charged with making recommendations concerning operations of the BCRL.

Institutional Review Board (IRB)

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) reviews each BCRL protocol and informed consent form to protect the rights, welfare, and privacy of all human research subjects. The quality assurance team of IRB research compliance routinely audits BCRL records to ensure that strict applicable standards for protection of human subjects (donors), including Good Clinical Practice (GCP), are consistently met.

Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)

The Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) oversees the appropriate handling of potential bio-hazardous specimens and standards for collection, storage and disposal of the biospecimen collected. It also provides local oversight to all research activities involving rDNA, bodily fluids, and other biospecimens.
